Fisheries In NZ we have fishing rules so that people only take what they need. Supermarkets rely on commercial fishing to supply their  stores.Recreational fishers can only take what they catch depending if the fish is the legal size. The minimum size fish we are allowed to catch is from 25cm to 40 cm of different types of fish.People  must check what the rules area for the area they want to fish in. People who break these rules are called poachers.Poachers who steal fish threaten the fishing industry. When poachers take more fish than they need there will not be enough fish to go around, this is why we have fishing rules in NZ..

You've used some great vocab in here Nganga. You're very correct that poachers threaten the fishing industry. I enjoy fishing, and know that the rules are in place to preserve our industry so that we can keep fishing for years to come.
